Port of Baltimore: Celebrity Mercury joins German TUI Cruises today

German cruise line TUI Cruises announced the latest addition to its fleet when the Celebrity Mercury was handed over at the port of Baltimore today. The vessel will make her last transatlantic trip as Celebrity Mercury before entering the Lloyd Werft in Bremerhaven, Germany, where she will be refitted. On the 14 May 2011, she will then be formally renamed 'Mein Schiff 2' ( My ship 2) in a naming ceremony at the port of Hamburg. The following day, the Mein Schiff 2 will embark on her maiden voyage on a cruise to Denmark, Sweden, England, France and Belgium.
